A sister line replacement variety for Mississippi Shipper. It has a concentration of pods that are reddish purple at green shell stage for shorter harvest period, is large seeded and shells very easily. A disease resistant variety.

Direct seed 1½” - 2” deep in soils that are at least 40º F. Plant in rows that are 30” - 36” apart and 1” - 2” between the plants.

Harvest peas when ripe. In shelling peas, pods should be filled out and able to feel individual peas. Pea pods should be harvested before seed develops inside the pod.
After harvest store peas at 50 - 60ºF with 95% humidity to ensure quality.
